Major fire breaks out at chemical company in Navi Mumbai

NAVI MUMBAI: A major fire broke out at a chemical company located at plot number R-447 in Rabale MIDC (Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation) area of Navi Mumbai on Friday evening.

A fireman at Rabale MIDC fire station said, "We received the emergency fire call at 4.45 pm informing that a major fire had broken out at a chemical company near Anthony garage in Rabale MIDC area.Two fire engines and as many as 10 fire fighters have rushed to the spot — Prashant Thermo Plastic Pvt Ltd — for the fire fighting operation."
As of now, the cause of the fire is not known. Also, it is yet to be ascertained whether there are any casualties as the entire company is filled with fire smoke, the official added.
